I got a Oculus Rift about 2 months ago... Tempted to get Rockband VR and just put the touch controller on a actual guitar. Turn on No fail and mute the guitar track (if still possible in the new rockband games) and play the songs for real while I'm in VR. It's a expensive experiment. but could yield a pretty fucking cool VR experience :D

How is it? I'm very curious about the whole VR thing.

It really (actually, I was majorly skeptical) feels like you are in the world that you're looking at. Anything that reminds you that you're wearing the headset (fogging, excess sweat) can kind of take you out of it. But overall it's fantastic. Unbelievably immersive. But could use more games as a starting point. Resolution isn't a problem. Motion sickness is a major thing to be aware of with certain games. And you really shouldn't bother with it unless you have a PC higher than the minimum specs already. If not it's probably better to wait for the next generation as you may have better hardware, there will be more stuff to do, and it would (Hopefully) be even better with a higher res display. Also you need a even bigger room than you think you need.

Band practice made me smile because I threw out a compressor for a bass chorus. It still has to find its spot, becaus the guitarist plays his guitar as good as his huge pedalboard.

Hope you guys and girls had a marvellous start into the new year!

That looks like 2 PRS Super Eagle II’s right there... Or a handful of Fender CS guit-fiddles, or some bottles of DRC...

It would be if it wasn't a club at work and all for points in a league table! But still great fun. I came 6th out of 35 tonight.

6th out of 35 is about 29 spots above where I’d finish in that tourney.

The knakered old car (not mine!) which has been sat on the parking area outside my house has finally been taken away.

Good riddance to a horrible eyesore!
