Not going to lie, working out a fly rig for the TPS Guitar Break—which itself is well beyond my means—put a whacking great smile on my face!

I am in the midst of a deal that could be quite a game changer for me:cold:

But you all understand that I can't possibly give any hints at this stage right?

Just got another cheque to put in the bank from birthday funds. According to my plans this now means the new hypnotic straps strap I want to get for my jay turser falls into the budget rather than a purchase just out of it.

Phase 1 may well get started soon as Status get back to me about cost for block inlays and wait times.

Think i'll feel much better with this route, and I don't feel the story's done just yet for this bass..

Spent an hour getting reacquainted with a neglected buddy of mine.

After the last string change I lowered the action and then I couldn't get harmonics to ring, and the frustration caused me to put her away for a while.

Gave her a bit better of a setup and now she screams once again. Sad that I can't get the action as low as I want, but happy that she's playable once again.

Don't fret. If there's a ghost of a chance you can dial that harmonic resonance back in, you'll find it. It's bound to Chappen.

Yup. I'll let myself out.

A quick update on the copper pickguard I had made for my tele
And an answer to a question I had been wondering about when I started the whole project:
"Will the copper continue to patina after I've applied some layers of clear coat to protect the patina-ed finish?"
    Yes.
    Yes, it will.
And I have to say I'm rather chuffed with how this is turning out...

Ahhhh a trip to a more reasonable garage.
H*lfords quote fo MOT repairs £950ish
Garage near my house - £400.
Proper man maths dictates that I now have £550 spare to spend. Common sense reminds me that I don't.

Update I intend to celebrate by burning the bodily remains of 'catapult tree' - the stump we pulled out of the ground last week - and drinking beer/eating a spicy lamb pizza - while the women folk enjoy their 2 day trip to Coventry / Warwick without me.

    It is indeed.
Although I feel an ET like government science agency lockdown could be on the horizon
Once the patina dissolves through the pickguard, the guitar and then begins it's attack on the outer crust of this planet...

It's been a while since I've been active on here but this has made me smile. I got myself a Boss CE-2W the other week and after having a busted cable I finally got around to re-arranging my board to make it fit (and do cable management) and it's all working! Sadly I had to say goodbye to my wah but that is an easy addition next to the pedalboard if I ever want to use it.
