Though I will be going to bed much later than I planned, I am smiling that I got to ban one last spammer before quitting for the night.

    EDIT: Make that two spammers.

Over the weekend, I changed the switches for a light in my house that is on the landing of the stairs going to the second level. I have been living there for almost 10 years, and have NEVER used that light.

The downstairs switch broke, and I changed both switches. I wired them EXACTLY like they were originally wired. After turning the breaker back on, and testing, I noticed that the light only went on when both switches were on. I said "wonderful, something is screwed up." My wife informed me that the light has worked that way for the past 10 years!!! I was stunned. What's the point of a 3 way switch if they don't work correctly.

So, I had to take the switches apart, check the schematics, and rewired the switches. Now they work like they should. My wife is thrilled, and we're both scratching our heads why it was wired that way in the first place. I'm scratching my head that I didn't notice it before.

But, it works now, so I'm smiling. I even used it when I went to bed. It's the first time in 10 years that I've used that light. :)

I had that same issue in our kitchen when we moved in. I'm a "copy and paste" kind of electrician, in that I'll take pics of wiring and just do the same to a new switch. :D Couldn't figure out why, when the near switch was off, the far one wouldn't work. Finally talked to a person who knew what was what, and managed to get it working right.

I have developed a plan which—so long as both my Fryette Sig:X and my Midas Venice U16 sell by the end of April—will clear all of my debt by this time next year. The really cool part is that I will have an additional ≈$30 to hand.

Fantastic show, love it when bands live up to the standards set by their studio albums.

Getting a Boss DS-1 via a man I have never seen in my life.
He had a post on ebay saying he'd trade the DS 1 for any odd pedal, I contacted him and he made off with a Boss NS 2 I had lying around.
This is extraordinary and it's only happening among musicians as far as I can tell.
I didn't know him, he didn't know me, we just knew we were both in the same hobby and thusly we trusted each other.
That really put a smile on my face.
(The fact that the DS 1 has all the bearings to become a staple of my live sound helps, too. I don't even mind that he has gotten a much better deal comparing listing price of the two effects. thios DS 1 is a beast with my Bugera! :bounce:)

The guitar/gear community can be a wonderful, trust affirming thing when it works like that.
There's some great people out there and I'm delighted for you bud

Listening to Dance Of Death by Iron Maiden. Best (studio) album they have ever produced.
