The "What pissed you off today" thread

@Wade Garrett mate, hope you and Kerry are holding up.

As to what I came here for originally, this is just why I get annoyed with people that are so proud of their divisive opinions..... It's usually based on bullshit.

'I'm a hard player, and I know for a fact I'd snap the headstock right off a Gibson Les Paul just playing like I normally do. All it takes is one wild bend on the G string and *CRACK!*, busted headstock.

Why would the headstock break? Because it's well known to be the weakest part of the Paul guitar, even on brand new ones. The #1 guitar repair is fixing busted Paul headstocks. Ask any luthier.

Whenever anyone has let me play their Les Paul, I can see the nervousness in their eyes because I'm actually playing a guitar how it was meant to be played - but you obviously can't do that with a Paul because they can't handle it. Whenever a Paul is in my hands, I have to constantly keep reminding myself, "Okay.. this is a Paul. Have to be careful with this fragile stupid thing.. man this sucks! Someone give me a Strat..."

I'm not even sure how I stumbled across his site but he's just an utter arse. I know it gets dull if everyone is overly PC and polite, avoiding controversial opinions but the trouble is that often controversial opinions are heavily bases on bullshit. Whoever snapped off their headstock bending a string? I never nursed my LPs and never had anything go wrong. You can read the full thing here -

I think its Ed Roman https://menga.net/heavy
This is totally Ed Roman. I discovered his hellsite back in 2002/3. Helped me develop some terrible opinions that it took some years to rid myself of.

Never argue with a fool. It’s hard because you instictively want to counter the BS.

Kerry's dad had a stroke this morning. I've had to go to work because we have a live performance today but she has gone over to her parents house. We got the news around 12pm and I just heard from her that the ambulance still isn't there almost two hours later..
Whoa, don't know how I missed this. Sorry to hear it, brother. Prayers coming your way, for the entire family.

I arrived back at my parents house a while back to find an ambulance outside. To say it freaked me out would be an understatement considering my mum's health. After a quick word with the paramedic it transpired that the ambulance was there for the elderly neighbour over the road. I'm not ashamed to admit to feeling rather shaken, it's been a little too stressful around here lately.

45 minutes late to work today because of a 4-car pileup. If I hadden gotten the message 1 minute earlier, I could've taken an exit which would have saved me at least 30 minutes....Oh well. I made it.

Then I get to work....nothing to do. I hate summer vacation. It gets so quiet around here.

Edit: Just read the news. It was a 7-car pileup.

I might have mentioned it before but check out the Dunning Kruger effect https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning–Kruger_effect .
In the field of psychology, the Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people mistakenly assess their cognitive ability as greater than it is.

This is what causes people to honestly believe they can judge the impact of a vaccine better then doctors and scientists who have studied for years and years, have decades of experience and actually onderstand complex peer reviewed articles.

I like America when i have visited and I like most the American's I met there and I like most of the American's I meet over here here, but how did you lot elect that absolute racist scumbag I'll never know. I know we are about to have our own Trump but at least we can say he wasn't actually elected.
