I'm thinking what and how to hook up on my pedalboard.

I almost never use my Wah with this band, might will change, probably for solos (yes, yes, like Kirk Hammett, i know i know   )
I can't use my HM-2 either... well, unless we play Blinded by Fear from At The Gates :D but i don't think i will bring this pedal with me every time just for that one song.
And I don't use the amp's footswitch either...

But as my missus pointed out I just have to load my gear into the car... don't have to carry it so...
I either get everything on my board again, or I might need to make a mini board...

    decisions decisions...:rolleyes::ninja:

I'm getting really into pedals atm, what pedals (and guitar and amp) do you have and what kind of music do you play?

with my drummer buddy we would like to play mainly metal, old school death/thrash, some modern metal-core, hardcore stuff as well.
My amp is a Randall RD45, and I'm renting a Marshall 4x12" with celestion v30s at the rehearsal studio.
Guitar? this is changing all the time. :) At the moment I got an Ibanez S320. (i think it's a 320, but i might be wrong about the number) and loaded with a DiMarzio X2N (aka Chuck Schuldiner) Pickup.
BUT(!) i'm just about to go and check a Jackson RR3R (MIJ) and an Ibanez XP300... I might buy one of those if they feel right. Will see...

I used to have an EHX EastRiverDrive (TS clone) but the boost function in my amp sounds good enough for me. Although I'm missing how the TS's tightened up the bass on the front end. I would use the Zoom MS50g in the FX loop with some EQ settings to tighten up the bass response a bit so the Kick drum and the guitar tone would not mash up as much.

The ParaEQ would be great for that.

I've lost count of the amount of times I've had re-wired this board but I think I'm finally done. (The Drop if finally in the correct place, after the TU-3).

Has the TU 3 got the same buffer as the TU2?

That sounds like a question @Robstafarian will be able to answer because I have no idea at all.

That is a perfect example of how my expertise differs from Dan Steinhardt's. Though I could research it, I doubt that anyone else's Internet searches would be less productive than my own.

I wish I could be bothered making the underneath of my pedalboard look that tidy!

Going to try this setup for a while, the only thing I may change is the Guvnor for my Ibanez SD9M but I'd say this is all bases covered :)[IMG]

Well now. The weight reduction surgery on my FCB1010 went well.

Board is Guitar > Volume > Wah > Zendrive (in the 'now cabled' guest OD spot) > Helix
From the Helix >Loop 1/3 to TS:L602 in 4 cable config and an output to ABY pedal feeding H&K Tubemeister 5 / Class 5 >Loop 2 to JMP1,
    >Loop 4 send/return to Acoustic Marshall amp.
FCB feeds the midi on the back of the helix, and passes through to the JMP-1.

This weekend I have been playing my acoustics through the Helix xlr input and outputting through the hifi and acoustic Marshall. A dab of compression, eq and reverb. Lovelly.
The acoustic Marshall is pretty much superfluous (but staying).

    Right, im getting involved!

Here is my board, small but perfectly formed ;)

I recently added in the Sub n Up instead of my Boss OC-2 and i'm loving it!

I will also be replacing the HOF mini with a Mimiq mini which I have on order, as I am using the amp reverb. Will probably replace my trusty old TU-2 with the Polytune 3 soon too.

I made the footswitch for my Blackstar combo as I wanted one I could unplug and leave on the board. also made the little patch box (top right) so my cables come in and out of the same place to satisfy my ocd :)

    Here is a backshot:

I play rhythm in a hard rock covers band, so don't need anything too fancy.

Here's mine, additions this month are Boss Sd-1, Ds-1, DD500 & line 6 M5. So a massive reworking was needed.

Using the musicomm efx M6 for switching using 4 of the six loops. The DD500 and M5 are switching by midi which is also new to me however I'm loving it.

My pedalboard is in a mess. I was going to make up some cables to wire it up properly buy with the state my band is in at the moment I'm not sure there is any point.

    @Wade Garrett

    scenario

you go "FFS. Band. Pedalboard. WTF. FFS" and don't tidy up your board

then tomorrow evening. knock at the door

    "who's that?" sez @Wade Garrett

you answer to find its only David f'n Coverdale!!!!

    1482265_612165525491236_188281047_n.jpg

" @Wade Garrett " sez the the crotch gyrating bouffant rock god in his male hyacinth bouquet accent " i have seen your playing on the youtubes on a RCF jam. i mean, we tried @johnniegoat first. but he'd only agree to join my epic rock band, WHITESNAKE, if we played Blondie songs"

you snort derisively, as you fingers flex automatically through the runs of the re-Vai-talised version of Fool For Your Lovin

    "but..." sez the Cov...

"i need a guy with a tidy pedalboard. that Vivian Campbell was a fine guitarerist, but he had patch cables all over the gaff so i fired the twat"

how would you feel then? pretty foolish i expect

do yourself a favour. tidy it up before its too late

    ;)
