    Same as that!
I've spent at least 12 months with slim necks and I'm not sure if it's just the change in profile but it's just sooooo comfortable - really not sure if I could go back now. I'm reminded of this song.

I have to come to think that many guitarists have been done a disservice by the trend of thin necks.

I think many (including myself) convince themself they need a thin neck to play fast - guess its good to think outside the box sometimes and try somthing different

Hi everyone I have a little video here I uploaded a couple of days ago. My channel is extremely small but I've been recently aiming to increase my subs. The channel itself is a general music channel leaning towards guitar tuition but as time goes on I'm planning on doing more fun stuff.

This video has done really well on Facebook with plenty of views and shares but had no impact on YouTube at all!! :-p Any subs or input on my channel would be so appreciated!

It feels so wrong that "We're off to see the wizard" works that well as a death metal song. :D Also checked out the video Wade Garrett linked and subscribed, I've heard that lick so many times without figuring out how it was played, very helpful!

Cool thanks! And yes the Wiz is by far my favourite.

BTW, here's a little experiment I ended up doing for a laugh...

Preference. Always preference. And preference only comes through practical application. No point projecting our own impressions on how others ought to feel, or convincing ourselves how they should think. No good comes from that. Anywhere.

If a player feels she/he plays better with his/her hand stapled to the middle of a neck that's as thin as a Palm Sunday frond, I don't care.
What sounds do they have to offer me. :D

Was messing around with Superior Drummer 3. thought a kick sounded a bit like the Gojira song I was listening to in the car.
Thought, i'll recorded a riff just for the fun of it. Dialed in a 5153 tone on my Charvel....I got suspiciously close to the sound of the original track i think?....

Completely obsessed with Devin Townsend these days, learned this song in about half an hour and decided to record and upload it.

For those of you that enjoy seeing dudes throwing around Explorers, maybe you'll like this. :p

Actual playing starts a little after 1:22 - forgot to crop the "wait, which guitar is my lead plugged into...?" stuff at the beginning out.

I envy your balance and coordination. By the way, I wear my Schecter considerably higher than that (Allan Holdsworth territory).

Check out the Schecter E-1 Standard; if I recall your neck geometry requirements correctly, then it might be a great fit.

One of us... one of us...

    -gregorian chanting intensifies-

That wasn't even my *pretty* explorer - that was Brendon the Thunderhorse, the one I'm still waffling about whether I want to sell. My next video will feature one of the pretty ones :p

    Thanks @Robstafarian
    I'll check them out
Still a bit scunnered that the new Ghost Frets have the original Chapman fretboard radius
To be fair, I can understand why - the model is definitely designed with metulz/shred in mind
But hey, life is short and E-style guitars are many...
