So then, what's that AK95 going to do that the AG95 won't? It's certainly not prettier. . .
Wait, don't tell me; you want to have one strung with flatwounds and one not. . .?

My GAS for the Boss SY-300 has returned. If everything is okay come January, and Winter NAMM 2018 does not include a successor, then I may finance one at the end of January.

Got the same email. The sustainer in a strat is very tempting.

My love for Green Day and Les Paul Juniors is making me really GAS for either a reissue Gibson Les Paul Junior or a Rock N Roll Relics Thunders Singlecut.

I no longer have GAS for Warmoth's ⅞ strat stuff, as the only compatible necks have heel-adjusting truss rods. Those bother me to such a degree that I do not even want my Baja Tele back.

Do we have an anti-GAS thread? No? Well, here goes:

I'm sort of immune to PRS G.A.S.
Don't get me wrong, I think they are gorgeous guitars and sound amazing. That Makena Blue PRS on that Anderton review 3-4 years ago was like a dream guitar for me, but they don't make left handed models (well they make Top-10 ones that cost >=4k).
"What? No lefties SE models? Oh well, screw them, let's move along" I thought and ever since then I skipped most vids/reviews of PRS guitars since...well there was no point. Now fast forward to couple of weeks ago aaaand:

    PRS announced left-handed SE models.

    Well, that's awkward.

    Let's check them out:
    left-handed-prs-se-custom-24-guitars.jpg

Alright, Custom 24s with a Trem. Exactly what I wanted. Now on to the colours: Blue is kinda disappointing, a bit bland. Not the PRS Whale Blue I'm used to, just ok. Trampas is ok, then we have the usual Sunburst and an ok Red Burst. So I went and watched Anderton's review of these. There's 2 vids on the channel and... on both of those vids they sounded average. Like bland, uninteresting. They didn't look all that great either, at some point even the Captain said that the Whale Blue colour looks meh.

The trem looks different, but in the vid Chappers (or the Captain? oh well) said it reminded him of a Wilkinson WVPCR. And then there's the price tag: 915 euros. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there are better options coming out from WMI for that amount of money, or at least guitars with better VFM.

My point is, that all of those things combine make these guitars so unattractive to me...it's like I want that shape with the bird inlays and 8515 pickups, but my mind tells me "it's not worth it". Am I wrong? Are SEs amazing guitars or something?

I just calculated that completing my single-humbucker guitar with a solid poplar body in Graffiti Yellow ('80s, amirite?) would cost ≈$1,100.

Found myself looking at these lately - apparently for that 80s studio/ LA session sound these are it.
    Err expensive though...
