Thanks man! Always interesting to go back and see what you've overlooked editing over the year.
Nothing special but I like it:
Just got back from a couple of days in New York city, got plenty of use out of my uwa-lens. Great city for photos, less so to stay in. Prefer the south any day of the week.
Spent April in Peru, Chile and on Easter Island. Here's a handful of the 3000 or so pics we took (unprocessed so far-by which I mean that the photos are straight out of the camera, not sharpened, straightened or cropped.)
Obligatory Machu Picchu pics
Lake Titicaca (12500 feet, oxygen helps at night if you want to sleep)
Sillustani, Peru, near the funeral towers (you can see one on the left, but my wife is the archaeologist, so I took pictures of lakes)
Winnie the Pooh at Miraflores, Lima
This is the pulpit at the Church of San Blas, in Cusco (11500 feet, 7 days there is a killer...and it killed John Peel). I avoid churches, being a rabid atheist, but I'm an enormous admirer of Che Guevara, and this is the pulpit he mentioned in The Motorcycle Diaries, so I had to see it, and stand where he had stood. The wonky photo is due the no pictures rule in the church.
Ranu Kao, Easter Island
Just south of Hanga Roa, the town where we stayed on Easter Island
The tiny dots all over the slope are Moai. This is the quarry where they were made, before being transported to the coast all over the island.
If anyone is interested, or thinking about a similar trip, here's the (slightly redacted) itinerary:
Captured tonight's supermoon. Tried a different method of cropping which cost me some sharpness but was still happy with the result.
