Nintendo Switch

Are there any Nintendo Switch players here? I got mine last year in april as a birthday present and it has been my favorite console ever since. I've just finished Zelda Breath of the Wild and need to get started on the DLC packs. I'm halfway with Super Mario Odyssey, dabbled in some Mario Kart and I just Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze from my wife as a gift. At the end of the month I'm expecting Crash Bandicoot Nsane Trilogy, so enough games for me to play for the time being.

Regarding the new Pokemon game, I have mixed feelings. It seems it will cost €60, but it looks like it should be around €40. I think I will still try it.

Just as a little backstory. I also own other console and the Grand Theft Auto series are among my favorite games ever, but Nintendo is what I grew up on and will always be number one to me.

BOTW is awesome. The freedom of such a huge open world is just mindblowing. They did a great job making it feel huge as well. If you like the sandbox type of games, I think because of the popularity of BOTW more Switch games will follow this format. E3 is next week and Nintendo is expected to reveal some good stuff.

It has been so long since I could afford console gaming that I am virtually incapable of caring about console gaming: my total spending on PC gaming and related hardware for the last three years is short of the total for a Switch and one game.

I like RPGs. I used to play the crap out of the Heroes of Might & Magic series when I was younger.
I cooked my PS4 hard drive playing Skyrim and Shadow of the Colossus a few months ago and haven't bothered buying any new console. I've still got a PS1 and 2, SNES and a 64 and the kids use them a lot.
I only use my PC for music now....

Who is excited about E3? I already pre-ordered Super Mario Party, Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu, the Pokeball Plus and Super Smash Bros.
I've been keeping an eye on E3 although I haven't had a chance to look into things properly yet. I've never has a Nintendo console (I really wanted a SNES back in the day) so didn't consider getting a Switch since I'm not overly familiar with Nintendo games. It looks like a decent system though.

The Switch is an awesome console. I barely every use it as a handheld, only on my tv. The games are great, but of course, if you like the more realistic, gritty games, the Switch is not for you.

Have you considered getting the SNES Classic Mini? It's €99, including 2 controllers and 21 classic SNES games.
